The Guide for Gender Equality in Teacher Education Policy and Practices is a practical tool to promote a gender responsive institutional culture. It seeks to strengthen the capacity of teacher educators, managers and student teachers to transform their practices effectively through innovative participatory approaches to teaching and learning. The guide includes a glossary, key gender concepts, case studies and activities designed to assist the user in gaining new insights and understanding through reflections, discussions and practical skills. The conceptual considerations, references and selected reading are intended to enrich the user’s understanding of gender issues, mainstreaming, and skills from diverse contexts.
