What is Collective power?

Definition

Collective power refers to the capacity of a group to bring about social transformation through organized political mobilization and action. Feminist activists often emphasize that significant social change requires building coalitions and solidarity across diverse groups with a shared commitment to equity and justice. Collective power allows social change to take place in ways that would not have been possible with action at the individual level, emphasizing the ways in which marginalized groups are stronger when acting together.

Gender transformative education can foster collective power through educational programs that develop intersectional analyses, critical consciousness, political engagement and collective action.
