School-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) in Sierra Leone continues to pose a dire threat to school children, particularly adolescent girls, preventing them from realising their full potential in all aspects of their developmental stages. This training manual, which was developed as part of the Girls’ Access to Education (GATE) programme, is to be used by school and peer mentors to support school children to enhance their skills on interpersonal communication, coping, conflict management, critical and creative thinking and decision-making in order to help them prevent and respond to SRGBV.
