This web page is a resource collection of evaluations and learning from the Girls' Education Challenge (GEC) project, run by the former UK Department for International Development (DFID). During the first phase of the GEC from 2012 to 2017, each project undertook a baseline, midline and endline evaluation. A number of common themes emerged from the evaluation process and the work on the ground. Two sets of reports – Thematic Reviews and Lessons from the Field - provide comprehensive information for understanding how to overcome the factors which hinder the learning of disadvantaged girls.
