The Education Resilience Approaches (ERA) programme is developing frameworks and tools to understand the role and impact of education in conflict- and violence-affected contexts. This guide is for researchers, evaluators and planners supporting education policy and programme development in contexts of gender-related violence. The guide outlines a conceptual framework to support the collection, interpretation and use of gender- and resilience-related information. It includes advice on how to think through crucial issues that may arise when assessing protection against gender-related violence at all levels of an education system and how to promote improved educational outcomes.
