Training manual for girls' and boys' clubs on school-related gender-based violence prevention and response

School-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) in Sierra Leone continues to prevent learners, particularly adolescent girls, from realising their full potential. This training manual is for school and peer mentors in junior secondary school (JSS) to support children to enhance their skills in interpersonal communication, coping, conflict management, critical and creative thinking and decision-making. The role of school mentors is to build trust, act as counsellors and identify serious child protection issues needing attention. Peer mentors are focal persons for running girls’ and boys’ clubs. The training manual contains participatory activities that are practical, relevant, age-appropriate and gender-sensitive.
