Safe Schools Common Approach: Ethics and Child Safeguarding Annex identifies and establishes key principles and minimum requirements for ethical research that involves human-subject data collection (with children and adults) and discusses the implications for the Save the Children Safe Schools Common Approach. The annex draws on various international documents on the ethical conduct of research, monitoring and evaluation, codes of ethics of international agencies, ethical guidelines in social research (Save the Children UK and Save the Children US) and Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding policy.
