Protecting and Empowering Adolescent Girls from Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies
The Protecting and Empowering Adolescent Girls from Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies report, prepared by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a call to action for the recognition that preventing and responding to gender-based violence (GBV) is essential and life-saving for women and girls in humanitarian emergencies and must be prioritised accordingly. The report outlines the challenges, statistics, learning and best practice approaches to do so. The report also provides recommendations targeted towards donors, policymakers and GBV service providers and/or practitioners to protect and empower adolescent girls from GBV in emergency contexts.
