Save the Children in Albania and the local authorities of Berat Municipality agreed to join efforts through a project agreement actively involving children, families and community members in the struggle to reduce the use of violence against children in schools and at home. This case study looks at creating opportunities for young children in poor and vulnerable communities. It highlights the case of Helen, a six-year old Roma girl, one of 130 children at Save the Children’s newly-supported kindergarten in Berat.
