Amar Nani - Our Girl Child - works to promote female access to education and measurable increases in female literacy and enrolment rates. The programme also undertakes community awareness-raising activites on women’s rights through trainings and dialogue, and strengthens school governance by advocating for the inclusion of all community actors in school committees. Lastly, Amar Nani seeks to improve the quality of education by setting up suitable teaching spaces and making teachers’ pedagogy more gender-sensitive. This case study is based on field visits, meetings with external stakeholders, and review of secondary documents.
