Faced with daily gender-based violence incidents in South Africa, two Nelson Mandela Metro schools wrote, acted and produced short films on the topic. These films, while both inspirational and disturbing, reflect how these school children have experienced GBV in their environment. Showing the bold reality of GBV in South African townships, the films are bold initiatives from young ambassadors fighting GBV in their schools and who are taking part in the Partnerships for Prevention of Women and Girls in Southern Africa programme funded by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit. The videos are to be used for advocacy and educational purposes.
