The Power of Collective Impact, Solidarity and Healing: Ending School-Related Gender-Based Violence
This year marks the 6th year that the Global Working Group to end School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV WG) has been commemorating the 16 days of Activism to end gender-based violence. It is also the 30th anniversary of the 16 Days campaign to end Gender-Based Violence. The SRGBV WG will harness, once again, the power of collective impact to bring to light the interconnectedness of different actors in ending gender-based violence in and through education. The campaign will put a spotlight on the power of young leaders and feminist networks who create vital circles of support for those affected by unsafe learning environments; the instrumental role of teachers and school leaders as change makers and the importance of nurturing their well-being; and amplify tools and solutions for education systems to prevent school-related gender-based violence.
Join our solidarity circle
A solidarity circle is an informal gathering, organised by grassroots activists that brings young people together with the goal of collective care. The purpose of a solidarity circle is to facilitate healing and provide a safe and brave space for students and teachers to be vulnerable. The circles will be intentionally inclusive and bring together intersections of all identities.
